Carl Hansen BM0488S Table Bench

The Carl Hansen BM0488S is the shorter version of the famous Table Bench designed by Børge Mogensen in 1958 and relaunched by Carl Hansen And Son. It was originally shown at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Furniture Exhibition to complement the BM0865 Daybed and it takes its name from the reference number Mogensen scribed into his earliest sketches. The Table Bench is made through highly skilled craftsmanship out of solid oak its organic composition results in beautiful traditional details such as cabinetry joints and rounded edges that repeat in the legs and rails, the bench is also topped with a comfortable double woven surface. With its more modest dimensions, the table bench can easily be combined with the longer BM0488 Table Bench, or can be used independently in the entrance hall, as a side table in the living room or as a bedside table.
