The Carl Hansen CH88T Dining Chair was designed as a prototype by Hans J.Wegner in 1955. It was influenced by Chinese iconography, and Wegner described it as "Minimalism on four legs", although it was never manufactured in his lifetime. It was only in April 2014, to mark the centenary of Wegner's birth, that Carl Hansen & Son put the chair into production. Made from steel and wood, It comes in a range of natural beech, oak and smoked oak finishes or, alternatively colour stained beech or oak. The leg structure is either stainless steel, chrome or colour powder coated.
