Created in 1938, the Carl Hansen & Son FH38 Windsor Chair is light in its expression thanks to its open spindle frame and gently curved back, seat, and armrests. A fusion of a dining chair and a lounge chair, this Windsor chair is precision shaped from solid FSC™-certified oak, standing as a testament to the enduring appeal of solid wood and expert carpentry.
Expert craftsmanship is required to overcome the technical carpentry challenges the Windsor chair poses, and every transition and curve requires hand-sanding, relying on a "feel test" for the final finish. As a result, each chair is completely unique, epitomising the beauty of traditional craftsmanship that has been refined over the centuries.
