Hashira is a modern, Nordic take on the traditional Japanese rice paper lantern, even taking its name from the Japanese word for column or pillar. This elegant lamp rises majestically from the floor creating an ambient and cosy atmosphere. Designed by Norm Architects for Audo the lamp has been combined with some elements of western textile lampshades, creating a familiar feel to a modern piece. The curved shape matched with translucent fabric provides diffused lighting whilst projecting in multiple directions, making this the perfect addition to enhance the softness of an interior.
